According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), COVID-19 is currently transmitted through respiratory droplets expelled through the nose or mouth when coughing or sneezing. To date, it has not been proven that animals can catch or transmit this virus.

As a reminder, WHO recommends that you respect the following rules to limit the spread of COVID-19.

If you're sick and you're coughing or sneezing:

  • Wear a mask and follow WHO guidelines.
  • If you are unable to find a mask, cover your mouth and nose with a clean tissue when you sneeze or cough, then dispose of it directly in a closed garbage can. Alternatively, cough/sneeze into your elbow to avoid expelling and spreading the virus around you.
  • Wash and disinfect your hands regularly.
  • Disinfect high risk surfaces regularly (phones, door handles, keyboards, etc.).
  • If possible at all, avoid contact with other people by staying at home as much as possible.

If you're in good health :

  • Keep away from people who are ill (min. 1 meter away).
  • Avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose.
  • Wash and disinfect your hands regularly.
  • Disinfect high risk surfaces regularly (phones, door handles, keyboards, etc.).
  • Do not wear a mask. Leave them to those who have been infected.
