Batmaid of the Month - May 2020

This month we honor the courage and hard work of Anabela, the master chef from Portugal! 🎊

Before moving to Switzerland, Anabela lived in Portugal with her two sons. There, she worked as a supermarket manager in the fruits and vegetables department following her studies. Today, she is the happy grandmother to a little girl! She can‘t wait to return to Portugal in December to visit them.

Looking for a new beginning, Anabela moved to Switzerland two decades ago. Prior to joining the Batmaid platform, she found work as a hotel cleaner. An opportunity then presented itself in a restaurant in St Gallen, where she was in charge of preparing delicious Portuguese specialties, and eagerly continues to cook them for family at home. Ultimately, the experience proved to be even more precious: it led her to finding love again with her current husband. Together, they have a son and daughter, along with two dogs that she enjoys walking in her free time.

Anabela is also an accomplished cook! 👩🏼‍🍳 Her favorite dishes include the bacalhau (dry and salted cod) and the cazido à Portuguesa (a type of stew). In fact, she wishes to treat herself to Portuguese specialties with the CHF 100.- Migros voucher she will receive. Additionally, she will receive a “Batmaid of the Month” certificate for her hard work. Congratulations to Anabela, who was selected based on her professionalism, enthusiasm, and other various criteria such as the impressive average score given by her employers!
